Boiled or poached eggs

Lunch:

Grilled or baked chicken or fish

Fresh salads with leafy greens, vegetables and low-fat dressing

Whole-grain breads or wraps with lean meats, hummus or cheese

Vegetable soups

Dinner:

Grilled or baked lean meats like chicken, fish, or turkey

Roasted vegetables like broccoli, carrots, or sweet potatoes

Brown rice or quinoa

Green salad with low-fat dressing

Snacks:

Fresh fruits like berries or apples

Raw vegetables like carrot sticks, cucumber or celery

Unsweetened yoghurt with a handful of nuts

It is important to note that the diet plan for people with diabetes may vary based on individual requirements and medical history. Hence, it’s always advisable to consult a registered dietitian or a certified diabetes educator to personalize the meal plan.
